Sober Driving
The government is proposing to lower the legal limit of alcohol concentration in a driver's blood from 80mg to 50 mg per 100ml. The measure aims to reduce traffic accidents. The Bills Committee on Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 1998 is studying the proposed amendments in detail. Many engineers have expressed their opposition as they believe that the proposed changes constitute an intrusion on the liberties of the ordinary citizens. I would like to know your views on the issue if you have not already voiced yours. Whether you support or oppose the proposed changes, please give me a call or drop me a line. Your opinions will count.
